Custom Cutter Gary Frank of Scott City cleans out weeds from his combine while harvesting Wheat Thursday. Because of the dry winter, some wheat fields died, leaving room for weeds to grow. April rains brought most wheat back to life, but by then the weeds were too tall to be choked out.
